Game demos, meet and greets, networking: gamescom has something for everyone. It is the worlds largest gaming event attracting gaming enthusiasts and their creators from all over the world. This year gamescom returns to the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany from August 24-28, 2023.

And this year we have the privilege to attend the Australian Stand at gamescom with the support of  IGEA and Screen NSW. IGEA have gathered 25 Australian game studios that showcase the range of talent and business opportunities that the Australian Games Industry can bring to the global stage. And this year there is an additional incentive for the world to look to Australia as a game development destination - Digital Games Tax Offset (DGTO).

What will Chaos Theory be showcasing at gamescom?

For the past 12 years, Chaos Theory has been passionate about making a positive impact through games. Our vision is to improve quality of life and inspire a more sustainable future through the magic of play, and we’re attending gamescom to help further our journey onto the global stage.

One of the main reasons we are attending is to network with other businesses and gather support for our next few games. We recently announced a new original game - Crab God. We are demoing Crab God at the event and hope to connect with players, partners, and publishers. We are excited to connect with publishers and platform holders to forge partnerships promoting Crab God and laying the foundation for future projects.

In addition to our gaming ambitions, we are passionate about making a positive environmental impact. We want to invite the Gamescom and global gaming community to discover how we integrate environmental sustainability into our games. We are dedicated to showcasing how gaming can serve as a vehicle for meaningful change and hope to inspire others to join us in our mission.

Say G’day at gamescom!

We will have a dedicated booth at gamescom where you can come and demo Crab God, talk about potential business opportunities or just get to know what the Australian games industry is like from one of the sources.
